Sunroof Buttressing

A long time ago Saab/Valmet actually built a few Viggens for the Flight Academy that had sunroofless sheet steel. But just about every other 900 and 9-3 imported into the US had a sunroof. I used shears to cut a filler plate out of 16ga mild steel and then went about welding it together. Even after grinding the car's roof panel down to bare Swedish alloy, the paint on the underside wants to catch fire for like no reason (same with the plinth boxes welded to the sill plates!). But I got it welded together and ended up with a B- job of warping...good body shop technicans were able to make the roof perfect!
